The name Tim Irish, is a well known designation, echoed throughout the Yakima River corridor in Central Washington. Tim was well known for his huge heart as well as his tremendous wealth of fly-fishing knowledge.
His capacity and willingness to mentor the young fly-fishing guides in the Kittitas Valley, regarding the intricacies of the Yakima River and its stubborn trout, is well documented. Over the years, Timbo innovated dozens of flies for influencing trout on this renowned, Central Washington River.
While operating the first fly-fishing guiding operation on the Yakima River in the late 80's, Timbo became legendary for his skills and his passion for fly tying as well as the intricate teaching of the construction processes.
