"The sun'll come out, tomorrow—" and so will Open Book Bookstore's new weekend hours.
Beginning tomorrow, June 5, we will open at 11:00am! That's an extra hour to pick up your beach and backyard reading.
Sat. 11am – 5pm ||| Sun 11am – 4pm
Closed Mondays ||| Tues–Fri 1pm – 6pm
* Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to be the first to learn about increased hours and events at the bookstore and other shops in the Downtown Elkins Park - Business District staying open later. We'll be open today until 4:00 pm. It looks like all the High School Rd shops are open today as well. Come take your mom for a stroll through the Hamlet, or buy her something last minute (don't worry, I won't tell her you waited. 😉

Pay a visit today to Open Book Bookstore and take advantage of our IBD 2026 "$20-for'26" Flash Sale on dozens of select hardcovers—including a number of NYT Best Sellers, Reese’s Book Club picks, GMA Book Club titles, and some "Read with Jenna" books. Well, whatever's going on in the sky, this weekend we're celebrating INDEPENDENT BOOKSTORE DAY (IBD), which always falls on the last Saturday of April. Open Book Bookstore will be open extended hours all weekend—rain or shine, hot or cold—for your book browsing pleasure and book buying/ordering convenience
