This weekend is about community.

Pisgah Needleworks will be open:

Friday, June 19
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Saturday, June 20
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Erin and I will both be at the shop on Saturday, and we'd love to see some familiar faces.

As many of you know, our son Carl remains in critical condition following the accident that changed our lives in an instant. He continues to fight, and we continue to hope, pray, and stand beside him every step of the way.

Carl has always been the heart of Pisgah Needleworks. His kindness, determination, and love for people helped shape the community we've built together. Keeping the doors open and welcoming people through them feels like one small way we can honor the spirit he brings to our family and this store.

All donations are placed into a Special Needs Trust established for Carl's benefit. These funds will help provide the therapies, adaptive equipment, medical support, and resources he may need throughout his recovery journey.

Pisgah's showroom will be open Friday (19th)10-4 and Saturday (20th)10-3. We will be closed Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. As soon as Carl is awake and responsive, I will go back to the normal schedule and be with him in the evening. But for now, we'll be open a few days each week.

Jonathan and I are here until 3! Please stop by and don't feel obligated to purchase anything. Seeing our community is important and keeps us thinking positive. Our entire family sends you our love and thankfulness!

Pisgah Needleworks will be open Tuesday, June 16th from around 11-3. We will only open intermittently for a while until Carl is stable. Please feel free to stop by and check-in with us. It would thrill me to see some familiar, smiling faces.

Pisgah's online store (www.pisgahneedleworks.com) is live again. We still don't know when we will try to reopen on Elkin Main Street. If you'd like to keep up with Carl's progress, please follow the group Sunflowers for Carl.

I've hesitated to post much more about Carl because this is a business page, but we are very much a community and the warm words and prayers mean the world to us.

Carl is stable. He is intubated and not able to respond to commands yet. The doctors believe he will survive, but they do not yet know what the quality of his life will be until they can assess the damage to his brain.

Carl would not be happy that I have closed the store for the moment, but I need to give him my full attention. As soon as Carl is stable and it's clear his life is no longer in danger, we'll figure out how and when to reopen.

Thank you for the warm outpouring of love, prayer, and well-wishes. We all appreciate them!

Everyone, as many of you may have heard from neighborhood and county posts, a young man was hit by a truck earlier today. That was my son, Carl. Many of you have met Carl when you have visited the shop. He's fun, energetic, and knowledgable. He is currently in the ICU at Baptist. Pisgah will be closed until further notice. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this difficult time.
