What an awesome day at Cup of Joy in DeMotte! ☕❤️

Today, every drink was free with donations accepted to support the Johnathon Sam’s Cannonball Foundation, and the community showed up in a big way. The line was backed up to the door the entire time I was there!

I had the privilege of being “the bean guy” representing Rescue Coffee Roasters, and it was amazing to see so many people enjoying great coffee while supporting a great cause.

A huge thank you to the entire Cup of Joy team for their heart for the community and for creating opportunities to make a difference. Days like today are a reminder that coffee is more than just a drink—it brings people together, starts conversations, and helps support causes that matter.

We’re grateful for partners like Cup of Joy who continue to support both their community and the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge through Rescue Coffee Roasters.

🔥 FROM BROKEN TO ROASTED WITH PURPOSE 🔥

Today was special.

My daughter, Carley Jo, came to visit me at Rescue Coffee Roasters… and for the first time, she got to see what I do now.

She saw the roaster.
She held the bags.
She heard the story.

But more than anything…
She saw the change.

She’s seen me at my worst—
in addiction, running hard, living a life that led nowhere good.

Back then, I used knowledge and skills for things that were against the law… things that brought destruction.

Today… God is using some of that same drive, that same hands-on mindset… for something completely different.

🔥 Sharing hope

What the enemy meant for harm…
God turned into something that now helps change lives.

What an incredible blessing to finally share something that’s been on my heart for a while…

We are officially partnered with River Life Fellowship 🙌

Pastor Andy (pictured center) and the church family at River Life Fellowship are not only serving Rescue Roasters coffee, but they are also taking orders and supporting the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge—helping bring hope and restoration to lives that need it most. ☕❤️

On the right is our Executive Director, Matt Slabaugh—a man God used in a powerful way during some of the darkest seasons of my life. Both of these men have played a vital role in who I am today, and I am beyond grateful for their leadership, faith, and obedience to God.

This partnership isn’t just about coffee…
It’s about life transformation.
It’s about second chances.
It’s about Jesus changing lives—one cup at a time.

And what a blessing it was to worship with them on Easter Sunday—celebrating the risen Savior and the new life we have in Him ✝️
