We've been blessed with 11 yrs in fashion and we LOVE helping our customers feel beautiful just as much as we did the day we started. Rich with character, this privately owned boutique oozes with the feel of days gone by when Singer sewing machine cabinets and Lee Jeans were made in the South Bend, Mishawaka area. A photo of a textile mill graces the wall behind the front desk pulling together the

theme and bringing the customer into the early 1800's and the heart of where the fashion apparel industry begins.

'But what about the clothing,' you say? Like the details of the boutique itself, don't expect to find the ordinary. Labels like Bedstu, Robin's Jean, Lenny & Eva, Nu Denmark, Luxury and more, bring highly sought after labels to St Joseph County that were previously only found in Chicago.

True to the heart of America, The Twisted String is a family-owned small business and the customer service it’s customers receive is what sets them apart. Kelly is a Certified Style and Image Consultant and loves helping customers put together outfits that not only flatter their body shape, but make them feel unique and beautiful. Her husband, Rees is the designer/contractor behind the store and can often be found helping the customers on the weekends right along side Kelly. Hailed by many of their customers as “the Chip and Joanna Gaines of retail”, Rees and Kelly have created a shopping experience that is genuine, unique, and well worth your time!
