Oh my goodness, we have a lot of used books going out this week!!

Wednesday Prequel is your chance to claim some of our excellent selection of used books before they even hit the shelves.

Here's how it works:
👉Pictures of individual books will be posted in the comments. Keep in mind these are all used books. They will be in good condition but may have some minor wear.
👉The prices will be slightly lower than what you will see in store as you are saving us from having to sticker and shelf them
👉If you see one you like, comment on that picture. We will respond to your comment to confirm your hold.
👉Claimed books will be held through 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬. You must pick up your book in store or make other arrangements by the time we close (5pm) Friday. Any claimed books not picked up by then will be returned to our shelves.
👉Claimed books will be paid for in store at pick up (we are not currently sending invoices for these)

If you are looking for a good story about a horse, this is not it 😅 I knew this going in luckily, as I had listened to an interview with Ann Patchett about it.

What the story IS about is Daphne, a woman in her 50s who unexpectedly runs into her estranged stepfather. When Daphne was 9, her and her stepfather were in a horrible car accident that tore her family apart. The book runs on dual timelines of the short period Eddie was married to her mom when she was 9 and the present day.

I am quite emotionally attached to the characters in this story, I definitely feel like they will stay with me for a long time after the story is done.

Our summer reading program is here! Starting today, kids can stop in to the bookstore to grab their passport to summer reading. Passports have a different challenge on each page. Complete the challenges and get your passport stamped for prizes!

8 stamps = ice cream treat from our friends at Edge Bar + Boutique (please bring your passport to the bookstore to get stamped once you complete 8 challenges, we will then give you a certificate to bring to Edge for your treat) 🍦🍦🍦

16 stamps = used book of your choice + entry in our gift card giveaway 📚📚📚

Please note, while the passport was designed with kids grades K-6 in mind, children of all ages are welcome to participate.
