Stained cabinets are making their comeback—and they look a little different this time around.

We’re seeing more natural wood tones, warm browns, rich stains and finishes that actually let the character of the wood show through.

And while painted cabinets aren’t going anywhere, homeowners are starting to crave a little more warmth and texture in their kitchens.

The best part? You don’t have to commit to an entire kitchen of stained cabinetry. We love mixing wood with painted cabinets, using it on an island, or bringing it in as an accent.
