This is an actual Penn State Health Children's Hospital patient receiving a Cuddle Bear from a Cuddle Bear fundraiser (shared w permission). Did you know, after accidents, cancer is the 2nd leading cause of death in children ages 1-14? You can help provide a cuddle bear for a child at our local hospital right here in Hershey like this little peanut here.

When my twins were in NICU, we received Cuddle Bear books for Christmas & I remember feeling like “wow, even though we are stuck in an ICU on Christmas with our babies, this hospital cared enough to give us presents for them!” I want to help do that for others. This is the LAST DAY of our fundraiser! We are just 6 SETS shy of our goal!! Will you help?

As many of you know, my daughter is a Pediatric nurse who had premature twins of her own 3 years ago who spent the first month of their lives in the NICU at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. My grand-babies are doing amazing now!

Every year, we run a Cuddle Bear Drive to give back to the Children’s hospital in September for both Pediatric Cancer Awareness & Prematurity Awareness Month. 💚💛 Last year, we were able to raise enough to donate over 300 sets to the children’s hospital! Keep your eye out for our donation jar at the register going out today as well as a display of the books & bears the hospital has on their wishlist this year (we will have that out this weekend) & you may chose to sponsor any of them. Any amount helps!

💚September is both NICU Awareness and Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month💛

Our twins spent the first month of their lives in the same NICU where I worked as a NICU nurse at the time. We spent Christmas there & I’ll never forget the goodie bags we got with a book inside to read to the boys. There was a stuffy too that I held close since I couldn’t take my babies home with me just yet. I've also had the honor of getting to care for some sweet kiddos who've lived through/or are still fighting through Pediatric Cancer as a Pediatric Private Duty Nurse. These children & their parents are some of the bravest, sweetest, and strongest kids I've met. ♥️

This month in honor of the twins preemie journey AND other families who are facing NICU time or Pediatric Cancer, we are raising funds for our annual Cuddle Bear Drive.

Every September I, along with countless others raise funds to donate teddy bear’s and books to Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital who took amazing care of the twins & who do amazing things for their entire pediatric population (including kiddos with cancer).

Last year we were able to donate OVER 300 books & teddy’s to the children’s hospital!

Every $25 raised allows for 1 set 🧸📒
