If your deck wheels look as smooth and worn down as this one, they've been working a little too hard.

A lot of folks have their deck wheels (or anti-scalp wheels) set too low, causing them to drag constantly.

Instead, they should be set to hover about 1/4" to 1/2" about the ground to function as a protective bumper when riding over uneven terrain.
