If you want quick turn-around time please move on now, because we cannot provide that. Here's why...
We received this clock from a automotive restoration company in Florida. According what they told me they got their 1959 Ford clock repaired from a company that promised quick turn-around time. Not only did the clock not work when they got it back, the case was mutilated and the clock was filthy inside. See before and after photos. They also didn't clean the outside of the clock, they also failed to offer refinishing of the badly faded hands; an up sell that benefits the customer and my business - both parties win.
I follow the exact same procedure with EVERY clock that comes in here for repair or service no matter what the customer has told me or what kind of clock it is. This is tedious and slow, but the advantage is that I average less than one return for failure a year. We also get customers that return on a regular basis and after their first experience know that they can depend on a quality repair.
I have been involved with automotive, repair, commercial building repair, home repair and have even repaired power tools for Black & Decker. I know that parts will fail, but there are a lot of failures that can be solved by a good through cleaning across all of these industries. This is where the SLOW process of cleaning something is actually faster that replacing a part, deeming it is repaired and hoping for the best.
