The Elburn American Legion Riders #630 Toys for Tots Community Block Party is happening THIS SUNDAY, July 19, starting at 3:00 PM at the Elburn American Legion Post 630!

Bring the whole family out to help make Christmas brighter for children in need by bringing a new, unwrapped toy.

This series 1891 $2 Treasury Note features General James McPhearson who the second highest ranking Union Officer to not only die in the war, but was also the only Union Army Commander to die in the field. On the back of the note, it is simple and indicates that it is a Treasury Not rather than a standard Legal Tender Note. The star on the note represents a replacement note and adds to the scarcity of these large notes.
