La Planta officially turns 6 🎂
In 2019, I fell in love with plants by growing a single bean in a lab at school. What started as an experiment ended up changing my life.👩🏻‍🔬🌱
Plants continue to teach me patience. They teach me to appreciate what is right in front of me and to let go when it’s time to let go. They teach me wonder, and they nurture me in a way I can only hope to nurture them. They’ve introduced me to some of my favorite humans, including the love of my life. They opened my eyes to a world of possibility, creativity, community, and most importantly, love.💓

On June 2020, I finally gave this dream a name: La Planta🌱
What began as a fascination with plants grew into something much bigger than I could have imagined, my own plant shop. WHAAAT?! It’s so much more than that. It is a gathering space, a creative hub, a second home for so many people, including myself. It became the vessel through which I found a way to express what lives in my soul and connect with nature and the people who love it too.

My dream is for La Planta to be that beacon, that little bean sprout, for anyone willing to receive it with open arms and curiosity.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Whether you bought a plant, attended an event, shared a conversation, made art, played music, or simply spent time with us, you’ve helped shape what La Planta has become.

The gang goes to Marfa 🌵

We’re packing up and heading west June 6–7. La Planta, Poco, and Café con Leche will be closed while we roam around Marfa for the weekend 🌞
