Let’s be clear - my father was born in Mexico, and immigrated to the United States with his family. My father’s side of the family has strong Mexican traditions and I loved being a part of them growing up. I’ve always been proud of my “Martinez” nose. We are anti ice. We are anti - whatever this timeline is!!

Tomorrow is the general strike. As a small business owner, we still have work to do, I have local employee to pay. I have local makers to represent. I am grateful for this community on South Tacoma Way - such a diverse and welcoming community. I encourage you to leave the big box stores, and check out the little shops.

I am a big believer in art therapy. Sometimes words cannot express what art can. There’s so many emotions, thoughts. Or maybe you need to just do something bright and colorful for your own mental health.
Stop by, grab a coloring book, maybe knit a little something. Want to be a bit more pro-active? We will print some postcards to mail to your local representatives. Write a letter. We will have scripts here. As a community, we have a voice.

We will also be donating to the .w.i.r.p tomorrow
