Today was AB•SO•LUTE•LY WONDERFUL!! The Edgewood Heritage Festival was today and I am feeling blessed beyond measure! Two months ago I had emergent surgery and had to put Hello Country Pumpkin on hold. It's been a long, rough recovery that involves a wound care center, home health nursing, and a machine that I wear 24/7. I wasn't sure if I would have enough inventory, much less have the strength and stamina to man a booth all day at the festival. In addition, the forecast has shown rain for this outdoor event. I really questioned whether or not I should even attempt this. I considered just forfeiting the money I had spent on reserving the space. BUT, thanks to a faithful and loving God, my prayer warriors, and the love, support, and hard work of my amazing family and friends, Lee and I had the most enjoyable, fantastic day. The weather was perfect. My booth was next to my BFF's booth (Twisted Treats of Texas) and near a sweet neighbor. I saw so many of the people I love today - many who drove hours just to see and support me. I saw a sea of familiar locals and friends and met some really wonderful new-to-me people. 😉 Everyone was kind to everyone and greeted each other with smiles. And, so many people pitched in to help us without being asked. I am truly humbled by each of them. I am thankful for every single person who crossed my path today. Truly a blessed day far beyond my imagination. It was a soothing salve to my soul and I am so grateful to my Father in Heaven.
I will admit that it completely wiped me out physically, but I hope to be back in my sewing room soon where I will create new things to share with you. Thank you for your patience.
Good night, and God bless.
