Folks, this is seriously getting up there. Custom geometry and paint make this one of the most expensive frames we have ever sold. Enjoy the details in this bike, we certainly did!

This incredible Z-Zero Disc by Parlee Cycles is truly a work of art. Boasting full custom geometry and paint, this beauty is heading to its new home in Oceanside, California.
The frame and fork, bar, stem and seatpost were all handmade in Boston by Parlee; the rims are handmade in Utah by ENVE Composites and the hubs were turned out in Asheville, NC by Industry Nine. Components by SRAM Etap and Quarq. This is one of the nicest bikes we have built so far.

Fitting is our passion at Parvilla Cycles, it is in our soul and it is what we love to do. In our continued quest to find the perfect position for each of our customer’s individual needs, we have invested in the absolute best technology in the world. After 6 long seasons we have just finished a complete remodel of the Edgewater fit studio and upgraded our very well used Legacy DFU to a new DFU Generation 2.0. This upgrade makes us the only fit studio in the USA that combines the most advanced computer controlled fit bike with Retül and GebioMized pressure analysis. What makes ours unique? Our DFU rotates 360 degrees in order to accurately capture both sides of the body while pedaling where all others are fixed in place. Come check it out and ask for a tour!

Thinking about getting a powermeter for next season? This is the one I use and highly recommend. And this is how you sum it up...

Infocrank is more reliable than the Garmin Vectors, as usable as Stages, cheaper than an SRM, easier battery swap than a Powertap and more accurate than all of them? Yeah, that should do it."

The InfoCrank is simply the easiest and best power meter we’ve ever used.

A tall rider with long legs... means a long day for a fitter. A tri or tt fit makes it even longer. Most riders that fit this category are riding the largest bike they can find because of the seat height needed. The issue this creates is that long legs typically means short torso's which make these big bikes too long.

The top photo is the riders original position on the biggest Cervelo he could find. Typically a long and low design, you can see how stretched out he is and how he has had to choke up on the pads. This is a perfect example of the rider trying to fit the bike and it is not working.

The bottom photo is his ideal position that could only be found on the DFU. The problem is there is not a stock bike on the planet that will fit under him in this new position. That is, unless you go custom. This new position is super comfortable and maintainable for the 40km TT's that it was planned for and there is no question that it is fast. The 220mm head tube and 54cm top tube is what is going to get him there. Guru Cycles CR.901. DONE!

This young man came in with the premonition that his position was fine and he really did not need a fit. When I asked him to shoulder check (as if to look for a car) in his original position he had to look under his arm. Granted, his new position is going to take awhile to perfect and will feel strange but if he sticks with it will save back and neck pain and keep him riding for years to come.

And it is not just the novice riders that need work. I encourage everyone and more so if you ride a lot to have your position reviewed every year. The top photo is a TT position that we set in 2012 for this Cat 2 roadie and the bottom is a couple of weeks ago. There are some serious changes going on here. Why? The industry is constantly progressing and looking for more speed, rules change, equipment offers more flexibility and most importantly the rider adapts. If you have not been fit in the last 24 months, you are way over due! Let me help you get started:
