Riggin entered his candles and candle business in the self determined class at fair this summer. He received a second place at county fair and then went to wyoming state fair, where he placed reserve champion overall. It was a wonderful lesson learned that not everyone will love you but some will really love you. Win or loose I was a proud mama.

My son Riggin has been working hard at selling candles at all of our local trade shows and he has gathered quite a following of supporters rooting for him as well.

Riggin started his candle business after making candles at a 4-H meeting last winter, his goal is to sell $20,000 in candles to start shopping for his very own rope horse (no more borrowing head horses). This business is 100% Riggins project under the Hammons Company name. Although I do help with the making of the candles and labels he is present and participating in every step of the process. We are so proud of him and excited to see all the things running a business is teaching him.
