Mother’s Day
It was a beautiful day. Robert and I drove to Rapid City. Went and saw Animal Farm movie. Robert said I slept through 2/3 of it. I read the book and discussed it in school.
I zoned out when the Dobermans took away Miss Sophie and came back for most of the end.
Took some popcorn over to the Garcia’s chickens, plus we gave them their usual bread treat.
Nice to see Norma’s sons and grandson Ethan working on the kids play house, as it gets set up and converted into the next chicken coop. Attempted to give them some dark chocolate covered açaí berries.
As they had changed to Carmel color, they wanted none of that action.
Munched in a few, then gave the rest to some goats out along Country Road, we headed home.
Got the best Mother’s Day message from my brother-friend Jim.
Brought tears to my eyes and meant so much:
You Have Mothered Many, though in a different way, and even those older than you, that were made young, in old age. 🫵🏽💯🤗❤️ Happy Mother's Day, Diane. 😎👍🏾🪶
Once we were home, we both crashed, almost immediately.
Got up by 8pm, chores completed, including a nice foot and leg massage for Robert, back to sleep.
Up at 5am, back to sleep, 11am outdoor chores in 100 degree weather.
Back inside for brunch and a cool down.
