We need EVERYONE to BOMBARD the (D) Senate Law & Justice Committee members with emails!
The Law & Justice Committee will vote on these two huge bills on Thursday, 1/27. We have to stop this in committee!
And, the ONLY way we can do so is if EVERYONE emails or calls these legislators.
We need YOU to **EMAIL AND/OR CALL the committee TODAY **and ask them NOT to exec SB 5217 and SB 5568 out of committee.
If you emailed them last week, great, send another and then call them!
They care about money and reelection. They can’t spend money if they don’t get reelected! We HAVE to show them just how much we and others like us are willing to help their opponents if they vote to pass these bills!
**USE YOUR OWN EMAIL CLIENT AND SEND THE EMAIL FROM YOUR OWN EMAIL! **Why? because the bill is still in committee so you can email them directly, instead of only being allowed to contact your own reps through the contact pages on the legislative website.

If you want to share a note with them, tell them how these bills will adversely impact you and especially those in your community. Tell them how it’ll make you a victim to the rising crime in your city. Tell them why you carry fi****ms in the era of defunding police. Tell them the story of the violent crime happening around you. If you’re a member of a marginalized community, tell them about the unintended consequences on your communities
But remember, be polite. They don’t care about the Constitution. They don’t care about the mechanics of the bill—most points in the bill are either intentional or copied from other states.
