I walked out to the beach at 4:30am and less than a quarter mile down the beach, she was on her way back to the water - a loggerhead - I kept my distance so I wouldn't stress her - I just sat and watched - the tremendous effort this mother had to make to push herself across the sand - it reminded me of how hard my mother had struggled these last few years - and I ugly cried - even worse as I watched her reach water and finally was able to just easily slip into the waves and swim away - just like that she was gone - just like Mom. I stayed until it was light enough to take these pictures and to pull myself together...I couldn't stop looking out to the water hoping I would see her head pop-up, but that wasn't going to happen - she was gone - just like Mom - her struggle behind her and now swimming free.

As promised 🌴🌅....I was hoping to make it to Sanibel before sunset but time ran short so I opted for a very pleasant stop at Bonita Beach. The offshore storm added some drama - it was like a little piece of heaven shining down when the sun poked through the clouds. I must say it was hard to drive up through Estero and Ft. Myers beaches - not sure how Sanibel will feel in the daylight tomorrow - but I an to be up with the sun 🐚🐚🐚

Officially on my way to catch a Florida sunset🌴🌅 For those of you who do not know me, my mother passed away earlier this year - it was the family trips we took to South Carolina that inspired my beach scapes and the business it has grown into....still not sure how to process my feelings but I am taking some time this week to try and regain a new perspective. I will be heading to Sanibel/Captiva, Marco Island and then over to Ft. Lauderdale with a few other quick stops in between. Hopefully I will bringing home lots of beach treasures as well as finding some peace. And of course, I will share pictures and videos of my adventures all week!!

Still a work in progress, but this is the new space for the studio shop - I also have adjoining rooms for the tax practi...

Still a work in progress, but this is the new space for the studio shop - I also have adjoining rooms for the tax practice and working studio - all downstairs - Suites 11 & 12. I have some special gingerbread and mulled cider this weekend - I will be here this Saturday & Sunday from 10 - 2 and will be here Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 8pm - but I can be pretty flexible with other days and times, just send a message!

I will be at 10 South Hanson on Saturday and Sunday from 10-2 ... Please send a message if you need a different day or time to come by - i will be available next weekend too. I have my last batch of sandmen for the year - made with sand sand from Rehobeth, Ocean City, NC, SC, Sanibel/Captiva or Siesta Key, as well as my glass tree, turtle, angel and wave ornaments. I have a couple more trees that will be ready tomorrow - last day for special orders is Wednesday!!

Happy in Easton - we have the doors open at 10 South Hanson until at least 8 - Wendy is here with some of her goodies too - bring your Christmas list and ! I will be in Milford, DE tomorrow from 3-8pm and then I will have the doors open on the weekends and for a few evenings until the holidays - let me know if you want to come by! I am finishing up some more trees and can take orders through the 12th - the countdown is on!!
