How does our sap get from sugarbush to sugar house? We use a gas pump to pump sap from our holding tanks in the woods to our gathering tank and haul it home with a tractor. From there gravity runs it into our storage tank that feeds the evaporator.

Mallory has been out and gathered sap already this morning and has just gotten the fire started. Visitors welcome until 3:00. Maybe later if the weather cooperates. 🤞

Martin is a 4th generation sugar maker. All four of he and Jackie's kids grew up helping make syrup. Tonight Martin had the chance to watch generation 6 in action! Megan and husband, Mike, are ensuring the tradition carries on to the next generation by not only helping at Marty's Maple but now have their very own sugar house.

We've been busy here at Marty's Maple! The weather forecast (although more than welcome by many) is a little nerve wracking for sugar makers this early in the season. Luckily the past week has been productive for us! We have plenty of syrup, medium and dark, put up for all your topped with maple needs. 😋🥞🍁🧇🍦
