Every day in the 21st Century is like a decade in past centuries, with existential threats, mental challenges, and spiritual lessons injected directly into our very being at our willing direction and via many equally powerful mediums, all of these traumas triggering our brain’s primordial fight-or-flight response.

But who do we fight to reduce the threat level? To where do we flee to find safety? Unless we first go within, calm and center ourselves through meditation, logic and spiritual practices, and fight the potentially paralyzingly fears that exist to awaken us to the dangers we must face and deal with, we will not be able to successfully work our tiny will on a world that all too often seems unmanageable. Stay vigilant.

Pluto’s just gone direct on the second degree of Aquarius and is in trine aspect to Uranus now in Gemini after seven years in Ta**us so anytime a planet goes over the first couple of degrees of Libra we will have a Grand Trine, great for babies being born into the Aquarian Age, since Uranus rules Aquarius, and since Venus is involved, this blessing could be affecting all of us in some way - I sincerely hope so - since this Grand Trine falls somewhere in everyone’s birth chart, what Amy and I call YOUR COSMIC BLUEPRINT, the title of our forthcoming book from Insight Editions that is coming in April and which is designed to teach you how to read an astrology chart using my handy-dandy easy-peasy method.

Pluto’s been REtrograde for several months and it has now stopped its retrograde motion and is said by astrologers and astronomers to be Stationary Direct, seemingly standing still when viewed from Earth and plotted against the backdrop of the zodiac in preparation to start moving forward on the second degree of the sign Aquarius.

Somewhere in each of our birth charts Pluto’s station is highlighting that astrological “house” as an area of life where Pluto’s raw power is roaring at you to stop your bs and get on with the business of cleaning out or otherwise purifying that area of your life in some way.

Of course, you can ignore or avoid it, but I wouldn’t recommend that course of inaction. That change is going to come and you want to be driving the change bus when change happens, you don’t want Pluto to be the chauffeur. Pluto is the planet of transformation, resurrection, the Phoenix rising from the ashes of its former self.

As someone who has been experiencing Pluto in the sky conjunct my Aquarian Sun for several months, I can share with you that slow, steady, and consistent change is the way to go. Do your best to do your best and be your best and Pluto stationary direct can be a force multiplier. Laze out and leave it for another day and, well, you’ll see. A change is gonna come.

“I am too much of a skeptic to deny the possibility of anything.” - Sir Thomas Huxley (legendary British scientist and grandfather of Aldous Huxley, author of “Brave New Worlds.”

A skeptic is a person who was willing to listen and investigate with an open mind and not someone like the members of The Committee for The Scientific Investigation of The Paranormal such as The Amazing Randi, the MacArthur “genius grant” winning stage magician who has decided that all metaphysical phenomena are impossible and whom I had the privilege of meeting when I worked as a location scout on his friends Penn & Teller’s movie, “Penn & Teller Get Killed” in 1991.

Though the movie was such a bomb that the studio “square-canned it,” which is how the old-timers referred to a movie that was so bad that it was put into a square can so that it would not even have the chance of rolling off the shelf, I did get to meet Randi, a celebrity from Wonderama, a favorite TV show from my childhood. Randi thought my Karma Cards oracle was a great way to rip-off the gullible public and, since I was not trying to do that, I knew that his intuition and ability to judge people and their motives was weak.

I sensed that his offer to pay $10,000.00 of his grant money to anyone who could demonstrate the reality of the metaphysical was based less on skepticism and scientific investigation and more on his absolute rejection that there might be truth to it and his ambivalence about having made his money doing fake magic tricks.

Penn and Teller were even less spiritual than Randi, if that is possible. If a safe fell on your foot and you were shouting “Oh, God! Oh, God!!” they would come over to you and say “There is no God,” and walk away without doing anything to help your foot!

The astro weather I’m talking about here is Saturn conjunct Neptune. I’m not adding the signs they’re in because they almost met up exactly on the first degree of Aries, a BIG DEAL for western astrologers, but now Saturn has retrograded back to Pisces and Neptune will do that too before they go direct and meet up EXACTLY in Aries and the BIG DEAL will become BIGGER.

Well, to paraphrase the bandits in The Treasure of Sierra Madres, we don’t need no stinkin’ signs...to figure this energy out. Saturn is structure and Neptune is the dissolution of structure, they are obviously WAY opposite in meanings, but that doesn’t mean we can’t synthesize a couple. Somewhere in y/our chart, which means in some area of y/our life, we are all being called upon to structure/plan or plan a strategy to cope with something that has dissolved/gone away or is going away/has become unstable in our lives.

You can see it in the desperate moves being done by desperate people and “leaders” around the world. The ones that don’t see that the future requires new, idealized structures that empower their people are trying to dis-empower their people with backdoor social credit score BS like Switzerland and the UK and the other National Digital ID IDiocy occurring. But we’re all experiencing that Saturn/Neptune energy in our lives.

Portrait of me by , my artist wife of 50 years. I love that this is the way she saw me and sees me.

I was born when the planet Neptune was stationary in the sign of Libra (the hippie generation) and in the third house of my natal astrology chart, a placement that can sometimes indicate someone who communes and communicates with the other side and, at the very least, is capable of seeing visions and communicating utopian ideals that inspire, something Amy captures perfectly in my eyes here.

I also hope you agree with me that it captures the image of someone who has the strength to stand up for his convictions and for what is right - I also have Mars in Libra.

Knowing what I know about astrology also gives me a faraway look in my eye each and every day. The struggle for personal freedom is raging around the world as I write these words. May all beings in every state and nation have the freedom to chose what happens to their bodies. This will only happen when we each respect each other as a living manifestation of the goddess within us all. Our bodies, our choice, no exceptions.

Spirituality = Kindness, Compassion and the belief in one’s “spirit,” the part of you inside your head that may just touch the infinite dimensions beyond this one, as a metaphysically fit essence being.

We do spiritual violence upon ourselves as spiritual beings when we wish ill upon anyone or gloat at another’s misfortune. That is an immutable spiritual law and if you don’t think so, fine, but wishing ill upon another or gloating at another’s misfortune removes from a person the right to call themselves a kind, compassionate, spiritual being, let alone a spiritual teacher. I didn’t make the rule but I know it’s true and I follow it.

Call it The Golden Rule or Karma, which I know a thing or two about and not just because I’m the author of the bestselling, thirty-five years in print evergreen title, KARMA CARDS. And our KARMIC BALANCE TAROT comes out next Fall.

Yes, I know, it seems that a lot of people who do bad things don’t seem to get their Karma the way one would think they would if Karma was real. Well, it’s real and you don’t know what’s going on in another person’s life or what’s going to happen to them in the future.

“God/dess is not mocked,” so all of we children of God/dess, including the moral atheists who do not need what they see as a mythical Sky Being threatening them with punishment to “be good,” all of us, we cannot just talk the talk, we have to walk the walk.

May all beings realize that We Are One.

BOLO is the acronym for Be On the Look Out. The astro energy matrix inclines to producing sudden, out of the blue insensitivity and also over-sensitivity but don’t fall into that trap.

Keep your center if you want to keep your friends. Keep your eye on the prize, aka your piece of mind, and don’t let anyone knock you off your perch. For the astro curious, the Moon/Aquarius squaring Mars/Scorpio(!) which is still squaring Pluto/Aquarius, barely, but that’s depending on the degree orb an astrologer uses.

And Uranus/Gemini is still trining Pluto/Aquarius with the Sun/Libra still in trine, a Grand Trine still, but there’s other things going on, too. So things are at the annoyance stage where it can seem like this straw is the last straw but it doesn’t have to be. Deep breaths.

READ THIS: I have been trying my best to warn those who follow my posts that the astro weather energy matrix is quite intense and that those who are predisposed to being on or over the edge of sanity might be affected by this intense energy to act, thinking that now is the time.

While you or I might feel that we have no right to harm anyone, it is obvious that there are people who do not subscribe to the Golden Rule Karma Report. I’m reposting my admonition of the other day because this energy is still in effect, Mars/Scorpio(!), potent by itself, is still squaring Pluto/Aquarius, itself being trined by Uranus/Gemini.

Although I have always subscribed to Robert DeNiro’s advice to young Henry Hill in the movie Goodfellas, “Don’t be a rat and always keep your mouth shut,” the present circumstances require us all to be on the lookout for aberrant behavior in those we know and to report to the authorities anyone who seems to be dis-eased to the point of harming themself or someone else.

This is all part of situational awareness, making one’s base secure, and watching one’s own “six,” directly behind you, and that of those you care about. Welcome to the Aquarian/Leo polarity.

Here is a psychic question I hear alot and this is my answer to it:

The question? “My ___________ passed away, is s/he all right?”

My answer? “In almost all cases I’ve encountered those on the other side are doing extremely well. The only thing that makes them sad is when those they care about are inappropriately sorrowful because of their loss and are not processing their grief in a way that is beneficial to them and those they, themselves, care about (or should care about!)

We are all going to the same place. We must enjoy our time together in our exclusive club, the club of the living.

People born with Grand Trines in their birth chart are usually perceived by the rest of us as being quite fortunate in some way. It often manifests as they will always somehow be saved from situations that appear dire. So, right now, the heavenly vibes are flowing between the Sun/Libra to Uranus/Gemini and completing the cosmic equilateral triangle is little old Pluto/Aquarius which is, of course, also being trined by the Sun/Libra.

All three planets are in Air (ideas) signs and so lots of people have lots of bright ideas and for those who have been waiting for the right time, that time appears to be now.

It may very well be that major forces are planning to do major forceful things and those at the top who watch the watchers might have seen things that they didn’t want to see and a major chain-yanking may soon occur.

Not much we can do about the tectonic shifts that are most likely about to occur around the globe but make our own bases as secure as possible.

The Grand Trine will supply us with lots of ideas on how to make great changes in our lives if we are willing to sit down and have a good think, so my eyes open/mouth shut admonition from a couple of days ago is still in effect.

May the Grand Trine flowing around us out in space ensure that we, too, will be saved from the bright ideas of those who should know better.

This one’s a very intense one: Mars has entered what used to be considered its rulership sign of Scorpio and it’s not surprising that many astrologers still consider Mars as co-ruler of Scorpio with Pluto, which was re-dicovered in the 1930’s during the time of the dictators - the Sumerians knew about Pluto over 5,000 years ago and called it “Gaga,” you can’t make stuff like that up! So, Mars in Scorpio is WAY different than Mars in Libra, where it’s been for a couple of months.

In mythology, Mars was the god of war. In astrology, it rules the energies available to us to get what we want to have, hold, and accomplish.

In mythology, Pluto was the after-war god, the god of the underworld and the afterlife and it was he who judged who went to heaven and who went to hell.

When Mars squares Pluto in any sign, everyone’s desires get front and center. Having this square happen with Mars in Scorpio squaring Pluto in the lets-have-a-revolutionary-change-for-the-good-of-humanity sign of Aquarius and right after the lunar and solar eclipses is Y/our Desire Nature On Steroids!

Some react well to this and use the energy to actualize their best practices to transform themselves, rededicate themselves to embodying a force for positive change. However, remember that to some people best practices involve successfully getting over on others, overwhelming others and working their will no matter how painful or criminal this might be to other people.

How to deal with this powerful aspect? Do not take it lightly. Be situationally aware, which means keep your head on a swivel when you’re out in the world, stay focused on staying safe at home, take it slow, don’t rush. Share this post with everyone you think wants to avoid problems and can handle the previous and the following advice:

Stay away from dangerous places, dangerous people, dangerous situations, avoid crowds, arguments including online arguments, and the like. Keep your eyes open and your mouth shut. Drive, run, walk carefully. Watch your six.
