After not fishing for a month because I've been in full time whitetail hunting mode I was a little reluctant to accommodate a first time client that all but begged me to take them tautog fishing. But I offered them Sunday only and they agreed. Being this late in the year and no one I knew fished this past week wasn't sure what to expect. But I said a prayer, went with my gut taking an educated guess locking in on one of my favorite late season humps with bow and stern anchors and my prayers were answered with nonstop tautog action getting all limits and coming home early.

And if that wasn't enough of a blessing, I came home to a busy farm with my favorite families spectating their kids riding and others in lessons with Carol. I made myself a coffee and sat on my grass hill socializing with some of my favorite people.
The Piper asked me to ride with her and Charlotte. It hurt me to say not today, I'm beat and want to spend time with your parents. I saw the disappointment she tried to hide behind her ok and her smile. After socializing a bit I went in the house for a bite then yelled out the back door hey girls do you want to take ride to the bogs? I got an enthusiastic yes and thumbs up from Piper so we hit the trail and made this perfect day even better!
Sleep is for when there's no opportunity to make memories! ❤️
