I love when it’s go to the garden and see what’s for dinner season! Our farm raised chicken with roasted potatoes and salad. Doesn’t get any better knowing we raised the meat and I just came in from picking the produce and herbs.

When we start renovating the inside of the house one of things I’m definitely doing is making the ledge in front of this window bigger. The dogs love lying on it. As Paisley gets bigger there is getting to be less room for Rusty but he seems to still be making it work.

Join us for a Sunday afternoon of basket making while enjoying a relaxing homestead atmosphere surrounded by animals and gardens. There was a new calf that was just born this week!
This is a perfect basket for your summer picnics.
All supplies will be included and you will leave with a beautiful completed basket.
There is a lot of colored reed in this basket along with the beautiful oak swing handles which adds to the cost but with July 4th and all the 250th celebrations I couldn’t resist having this class.
Not only will you leave with a beautiful basket but with full bellies. I love making food for classes to be enjoyed while you’re weaving or to be enjoyed after, made from what’s in season on the farm.

I can’t get enough of these 2. Poppy was just born this past Saturday and Mae was born May 4th. Mae has a little bit of shorthorn in her and that’s what’s giving her more of a red color. These 2 girls definitely get lots of attention.

We know from past experience how running the chicken tractor through the pasture adds to the quality of grass. Even a couple years after having the chicken tractors in a spot at the old house, you could still tell a huge difference with the pasture quality. This will go such a long way to get this pasture where we want it. The cows don’t mind sharing.
