I will be teaching this class at Quilter’s Hideout in Early, Texas Saturday, October 3, 2020. If you’re interested, please contact Vita Weehunt -325-647-2395 to sign up.
Bouillabaisse class
Please have some strips cut beforehand and a couple of sets stitched, pressed, and ready to cut. Do not feel like you must have all the strips cut or stitched before class but know that having a few made pre-class time would be to your advantage.
Cut:
90 1 3/4 inch wof strips for first steps of quilt, from these stitch 30 strip sets with three strips each
Cut 64 more 1 3/4 inch wof strips, 16 of which need to be a solid color(which will be stitched on one outside edge of your strip set of four), from these strips stitch 16 strip sets of 4. When all of your strip sets are done, the solid color will be on the outer edge of each strip.
Another variation: cut 16 strips of one solid color, cut 16 strips from another solid color, and 32 strips from the rest of your chosen fabrics. Stitch one solid color on the outside edge of your strip set and and then stitch the other solid on the opposite outer edge. When your strip set of four pieces is finished, there will be a solid on each outside edge of the four piece strip. Your two solids need to highly contrast each other.
Tips
don’t use fat quarters
Press seams open, not to one side
Don’t match seams
Please bring your sewing machine and routine sewing equipment.

COVID 19 UPDATE
Researchers have now discovered that quilters between the ages of 40 and 70 can carry the Covid 19 virus and exhibit no symptoms, and are advising the following precautions:
Please isolate yourself in your sewing room for the next 14 days, ensuring you are well supplied with fabric and thread.
Inform your spouses that they will have to take care of the house and children without your support, and deliver refreshments as needed.
Make sure your cellphone is charged and that you have stocked up on necessities like coffee, jellybeans, wine, and M&M's.
