Everything to do with alpacas including knitting and spinning lessons and alpacas themselves. We carry a mixture of styles including the latest fashions from Peru. There are also items milled here in the US that come directly from the alpacas at Big Hat Ranch. We also have custom made beetle kill pine furniture crafted by local artist Jeff Goodwin.

Time for gardens. We have bags of alpaca p**p at the store now. Fully composted- 1 cubic foot.
This garden is mixed 50/50 with average soil and look at the growth.

Shearing is just past the halfway point 45 down 43 to go. It’s time for the store to reopen with lots of beautiful yarn and fleece and alpaca products. Knit Night today! I’ll be at the store today and Amy and Heather will be in the rest of the week while I finish up the herd. Anyone wanting to still see this amazing process we shear every morning this week!

Some of our great yarn and Big Hat Ranch animals will be at the Estes Park Wool Market! The store will be open in Eagle.

Nudity, screaming, spitting….beautiful soft fleece, happy animals… Shearing time is gearing up. The store will be closed - May 19th- June 1. We will be open for Knit Night both Tuesdays from 4pm-8pm. We will be checking messages in case anyone needs something while we’re closed. Lots of people have come to help with shearing and some come every year. It’s pretty amazing. Give us a call to see what our schedule is!
