Newest piece on the lathe. This one should be fun hollowing. First time turning a pine burl. In the words of the great Clark Griswold.. " A lot of sap.... looks great" lol

This was such a great experience being able to work with a company that is such a big part in my business. I can not say enough great things about this little lathe. It may be small but this Midi lathe will out perform most full size lathes that are on the market today. Thanks again Powermatic for being a big part of my daily life.

Here is the completed piece fresh from my lathe that will be going to auction to support "The Upside Of Downs" charity. I got some really great colors mixed in with the maple burl. Hope it brings them alot of money to help support this great charity. I'll post more pics and info about the charity hopefully this weekend.

I got the shock of a life time today. Last year at AAW I met Mark Baker and we started talking about doing an interview for wood turning magazine. Well today is the day the issue came out, and I was completely shocked that not only am I in my first magazine I made the cover. Words can not express have happy I am right now.

I have been watching Wood Turning With Tim Yoder for years. I was lucky enough to finally meet Tim two years ago at my first AAW in Pittsburgh. This past year In Atlanta I met Tim again but this time we struck up a conversation and showed him some of my turnings with my resin, and burl infusion. Since Tim is a fan of turning resin it seamed like a great opportunity to do a project together. Tim did a great job turning my blanks and making them into some very cool light fixtures.
