I wanted to take a few minutes to check in and share a little update. We've been pretty quiet around the shop for what feels like FOREVER.. But for good reason...
Several years ago, we built The Granny Pod, for my Mom, which many of you have had the chance to see in person. It was a beautiful labor of love that afforded my family the opportunity to be together as health concerns for Mama began to take up much of our time. This past year I became Mom's full time caregiver and while it was time consuming, hard work, sometimes even overwhelming... It was a blessed, joyful, bittersweet journey that ended for my precious Mama, on Dec. 11, 2023.
However, I'm forever grateful that we had this sweet little business that I knew I wouldn't get fired from for choosing to care for my loved one instead of punching a clock. And God has provided every step of the way, like HE always has.
That being said, we are slowly remembering what it feels like to build, craft, create and find joy in making something out of nothing, all over again. If I've been slow to respond or missed your message altogether in the last several months, please know that it wasn't personal, I was just busy with a different kind of labor of love at the time. We're now looking forward to seeing what 2024 holds and we thank you for your support, prayers, calls, texts and compassion through this time.
