Some designers create beautiful clothes. Oscar de la Renta created elegance.

Born in the Dominican Republic and trained under legendary couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga before working at Lanvin in Paris, Oscar de la Renta became one of the defining voices of American luxury fashion. His designs dressed First Ladies, royalty, Hollywood icons, and generations of women who wanted to feel both confident and timeless.

His signature wasn't a logo. It was the feeling his clothes gave the women who wore them.
Grace. Confidence. Femininity. Sophistication.

Oscar believed that fashion should never overpower the woman wearing it—it should simply help her become the very best version of herself. Beyond the runway, he was equally committed to giving back. He served on the boards of institutions like Carnegie Hall and The Metropolitan Opera and helped build a school and day-care center in his native Dominican Republic, providing education and care for more than 1,200 children.

We’re excited to welcome Jaclyn Jonas to the Black & Glen family!

Originally from a small town in Michigan, Jaclyn moved to Florida after earning her Bachelor of Applied Arts in Apparel Design and Merchandising. She brings an incredible 19 years of retail management experience to Black & Glen, along with a lifelong passion for design, art, and—of course—great style.

We’re thrilled to have her joining the team and can’t wait for all of you to meet her!

Jaclyn will be at the Black & Glen Men’s Store this week from 10am - 5pm so stop in, say hello, and help us give her a warm Black & Glen welcome. 🖤
