What a day on the gravel Sunday!

The Keuka Lake Gravel Classic brought out around 400 riders this weekend and the course didn't go easy on anyone- but that's kind of the point, isn't it? Proud to have sponsored this one and to see so many people out there putting in real miles on roads we all love.

After-work rides don't get much better than this.

The Keuka Lake 28 starts and ends right at Red Jacket Park (parking available). It's 28 miles along the lake with most of the climbing done in the first 8 miles, so the back half is yours to enjoy. Pavement the whole way.

Works well for a lot of different riders. The grades are steady and gradual, not steep so if you've been building up your miles this spring, this is a great one to try. A road or gravel bike with decent gearing is all you really need!

A tune-up before the season gets busy means you're not waiting when everyone else remembers theirs in July. It also means your first long ride around the lake actually goes the way you planned it.

Summer riding season is here, and the roads around Keuka and Seneca Lake are about as good as they get right now!

Before you head out, a few things worth checking over:

✔️ Tire pressure (it drops more than you'd think over a winter in the garage)
🔧 Brake levers, squeeze both and make sure they feel firm
⛭ Shifting through all your gears once before you need them on a hill
👷 Helmet fit, especially if kids have grown since last fall

None of this takes more than ten minutes, and it can save you from a long walk back! 😀
