For every person concerned for the homeless and our country's state of disrepair. Whether you think the system is broken or acknowledge that our infrastructure and citizen support is falling way behind other successful nations.
LISTEN and consider: I believe we need to bring back the Civilian Conservation Corp and the Works Project Authority. Not as an alternative to jail time for homeless people, but as the original ideas were enacted. A Paying job, supplying shelter and food support to the workers that helped build most of the parks, Community centers and civic service buildings. It WOULD provide shelter and purpose for many homeless. Giving them Work skills, job experience and project management record, they COULD put on a resume. Along with an address (however changing) following their location, that is also crucial to getting a job or career, that would allow them to transition out of those programs. Or a life path of service and learning that might show them a purpose larger than their own needs. ALL the while supporting and creating the physical changes this nation needs to its infrastructure to lead (once again), the world in Citizen support and national worth.
There is No high speed rail here, like exists in many nations. Education still relies on Physical location and community income levels, WHY? We have become a service and tourism driven economy, with many attractions and locales relying on structures and planning from the 30's: WHY? the main basic need for optical speed data connections is STILL the labor needed to lay new transmission lines and data capable trunk exchanges. Public libraries and colleges relying on Satellite data access Still need the latest antenna and building support.
Such an effort to create stable job access to ANYONE wanting to work and learn. That would in turn allow our nation the physical resources needs for infrastructure. While supporting and empowering the people, most in need of living and shelter assistance and guidance. I feel, is a Win/Win/ Win situation WE the People, need to get behind and support the creation of.

Feel free to send this unedited idea (with your comments and ideas) to every: state and federal representative, state and national congress member, Community outreach group, and city council. To show the will of the people focused on, Being the America, we all deserve.
