The doors are closing soon!!! OESD has re opened The year of Doors, but just for a limited time!

You get a new, seasonal door each month and when you are done you can make the most amazing quilt!

This is an in the hoop appliqué project. I’m using Tula Pink fabrics for some extra whimsy but you can use any fabrics and colors that you choose!

This project is so much fun and each month I am in awe of how beautiful every single door is! The details are stunning!! Join me now before the doors close!

Whether you just found me or you’ve been here a while, I’m really glad you’re here. 🥰

This is a space where you can learn to sew, quilt, and do machine embroidery and actually enjoy the process.

I have over 30 years of experience and I will always share what I know, but I will never tell you there’s only one right way. You do what works for you.

Mistakes are part of it. I still make them. That’s just how this goes.

And if you’ve ever thought “I could never do that,” you’re exactly who I made this for.

Here's why I'm celebrating and why you're invited:

Over the last 15 years, I've learned that while I've always loved to craft and sew, there's something even more magical about doing it in community.

There is so much pulling at our attention and plenty of things to divide us.

Sewing is about bringing things together. Adding color. Exploring creativity.

And the Sewing Squad has been doing that for the last three years! So I want to celebrate!!!

If you’ve ever worried about doing it wrong, this is for you.

This has really been weighing on me.

Not because someone disagreed with me. That happens every day, and trust me, I’ll survive. 😂🤪

What bothers me is thinking about how comments like this can affect you.

Maybe you’ve been wanting to try quilting, sewing, embroidery, or another creative hobby, but you’re worried you’ll do it wrong.

Maybe you’ve finished a project and felt nervous to share it because you were afraid someone would criticize it.

Maybe you’ve talked yourself out of trying something new because you didn’t feel confident enough yet.

That’s what bothers me.

I never want this page to be a place where you feel judged, embarrassed, ashamed, or afraid to create. I want it to be a place where you feel encouraged to learn, try new things,

I’d really love to have an honest conversation about this. Have you ever had someone make you feel like you were doing it wrong? Did it affect your confidence or make you hesitant to try something new?

Let’s talk about it. I have a feeling a lot more people have experienced this than we realize.
