After 46 years of piano tuning and repairs I am retiring June 1. My appointment book is full to that date so I am no longer taking appointments. Thank you so much for the years of providing my family with an income and me with friendships. I will miss seeing customers many of whom I think of as family. It is hard for me to express just how truly grateful I am for all of you. God brought me into this business and I have considered it a calling. My faith in Christ has been my guide.

I have completed my treatments at Mayo for my cancer and the news is wonderful. I am healthy again and will be starting to work the 3rd week in October. This week I am setting up appointments for next week. It is great to be back and feeling near 100%. I can't wait to be working on pianos again. Thank you for the many customers who have been praying and have expressed concern. I have the best customers / friends in the world.

I have not shared much on facebook about my health and I guess it's about time. With this kind of stuff I like to start with the good news and the good new is this is very treatable and I am not in much danger at all. I have prostate cancer that needs to be treated and I had kidney cancer that surgery has removed part of one kidney and that cancer is gone. I will be starting radiation treatments this Monday (for the prostate cancer) and will not be working for about a month. I have turned off my answering machine and will turn it back on Mid October and start taking tuning appointments again then.
I have really excellent doctors, a great treatment plan and I feel that God has been with me through this process. I have great support from my church, friends and family and I want to thank everyone for their prayers and help. It has meant the world to me. I am finding JOY every day and am filled with gratitude for all God has given me. I have not felt a day of sickness from this although some of the treatments are a little bit not fun, but I am getting along really well.
So... one cancer down and one to go. In about a month, after giving the cancer the business, I expect a return to normal life. (Well at least a normal life for me).

I have not been posting lately on my Berryhill Piano Service page as I have been having a few health issues. As of late and have been busy working and getting ready for surgery and treatments. I am doing well and feeling fine and have been doing my normal work load. I will be having surgery this week (second week in July) and because of a weight lifting restriction I will be taking about a month off of piano work. I hope to be tuning again by mid August.
