Hello friends! It's been awhile since we've had a chance to connect. As many did, we had to take a (forced) break in 2020 and it has taken much of 2021 to regroup, not only for our own small businesses, but with this initiative.
Project lifeSTYLE would like to announce that we are once again going to be taking clients in the same manner as before, connecting with area shelters on a referral basis, starting in 2022.
We have taken this time to restructure our model and what we found during our time working with the clients we had in 2019 and early 2020, is that many did not have a need for professional based clothing, but clothing that would work for them in multiple environments and help them feel strong and empowered. One consistent request was something as simple as new, clean socks, bras, and undergarments. This request alone made us alone made us realize that we needed to start from the foundation, with the basics for each client, and build from there in a sustainable way.
The clothing that we have received to this point will be used in several ways, professional clothing will be sent to local colleges and universities where they can be can utilized by students, gently used off-season and specialty sizing pieces that cannot be used for our clients will be available for purchase at an extremely discounted rate, with the proceeds going back to support any new, foundational pieces purchased for clients. Moving forward, we will receive each client's individual sizes and specific needs in advance so we are able to tailor a sustainable and empowering experience specifically to them.
We would like to thank everyone for their continued support of Project lifeSTYLE and our mission of working with women in need to overcome challenges and understand their own self worth.
