Me getting absolutely cooked on into the wild boxes. My daughter pulls three enchanted buying the next box under the ones I got 3 times. I keep telling her this isn’t normal but she just started collecting and now thinks every box has one lol.

Sorting my cards and had to share this bit of awesome I picked up in a collection somewhere in the past. Al McCoy was the voice of the Phoenix Suns from 1972 to 2023. This Topps card was made in 1994 but not sure why. Can’t find another one online. He was a joy to listen to him call a game especially when he would yell Shazam for a 3 pointer or the epic wham bam slam for a dunk.

In 1990 Brian Pulido had an idea for an undead Psychopath named Ernie, his sidekick Smiley and the his true love Lady Death. He advertised for an artist in two trade magazines with the first image of creation drawn by Eric Mache. The person that answered that ad was the late Steven Hughes and a short time later I walked into a comic shop and had a copy of Evil Ernie #1 shoved in my hand. 35 years later I’m still buying comics and relics of the Evil One. Tonight on kickstarter the first republishing in Omnibus format of the classic Chaos comics run (and Eternity) is opening for pledges on Kickstarter in a partnership between Brian Pulido and Dynamite Comics. Cannot wait so be you an old school fiend or Sworn do not miss this. If you just love horror comics or stories you will love this too.

it saddens me that people are starting to realize how rare these are out of the Topps holiday boxes. I’ve been picking up as many as I could get cheap. Each border variant is like 1 in 3002 packs of Topps Holiday. I paid 60 bucks for the graded Kon at the start of the year and just saw a raw sell for almost 600 a couple of days.ago. There’s no known print run but it’s guessed less than 10 of each type. There’s holly, Santa bag, candy cane and ornaments. I see the candy cane a lot more than the others.
