This is what perseverance and determination looks like.
I’ve been to New Orleans, to California, back to Dallas, to NYC, and back California this month. I also launched my products on Nordstrom.com (should be live in a few days). Today I was honored by the Fresno Metro Black Chamber of Commerce as the ProspHer through Entrepreneurship Honoree. The amount of love and support that I’ve received from the chamber over the years are what help shape Scent & Fire into what it is today.
But what you don’t see is that the cancer came back (not as bad as last time), and I was in the hospital last week from complications. You don’t see how I’ve been extremely sick and couldn’t eat for 2 weeks. You don’t see how I could barely enjoy my NYC business trip because I was battling fevers, yet I persevere. I keep pushing through because God already said that victory is mine and to lean on Him, even through the pain. I’m going to rest and regain my strength, no doubt, but I also have to keep going because it’s faith over fear over here! I’m going to grow old, do you hear me?! And as I do that, I’m going to continue growing my brand.
