Of interest to local pond enthusiasts, we have made PGP's first Hardy Pond Plant pickup from our local growers. Hardy (perennial) plants are now being offered for sale.

We also have Water Lettuce and Water hyacinths, but be aware that if it gets anywhere close to freezing these Tropical Plants will need to be protected or brought inside.

Dana will be heading out to get our first batch of tropical water plants from the grower in a couple of weeks. Currently tropical plants are not for sale except the floating lettuce and hyacinths as they are accustomed to the temperatures inside the hot house.

Boutique hours 8:00 to 4:30 Monday thru Friday and outside those hours by appointment.

It's that time of year friends. We can all save ourselves a lot of frustration by getting a "tented net" over the pond before the leaves fall. We have lots of suggestions of how to do it. For small ponds actual net tents are available like this one! A pond net helps keep the pond clean AND keeps out most predators when the fish are otherwise exposed and vulnerable.

Thank you SO MUCH to all our previous and new friends who came out to our FIRST ANNUAL FISH & FURNITURE FESTIVAL.
We had good weather and a good turnout. I think everyone had a good time with free food from Bieler's Soft Pretzels on Friday and free food from Sabatino's Pizza on Saturday.
Lot of people found out that we exist, hidden back behind our home and Amish buggy at 507 W Uwchlan Ave Downingtown. Current and new customers enjoyed 20% off EVERYTHING!!
And we are happy to now announce the winners of some really great door prizes provided by some of our Furniture Craftsman and the rest by Practical Garden Ponds:

Finishing up our newest display in the Pond Boutique, the Four Fold Filtration Pond with Bottom Drain! We are building our store into a "How To DIY your own pond at all levels" tutorial.

And just in time for our First Annual Fish and Furniture Festival coming up on September 26th and 27th ... we hope to entertain and educate customer interested in ponds and other water features and or discounted outdoor furniture or customer ordered fine hardwood furniture. We have MOVED!!!

Practical Garden Ponds has operated as an internet company from our residential home since 2007 (about 17 years). While we remain primarily an internet entity with our www.practicalgardenponds.com and www.shooflyamishfurniture.com websites, we now also have a sweet little boutique nestled between 507B West Uwchlan Ave (Route 113) and 62 Woodland Drive in Downingtown PA 19335 with entrances on both roads.

In addition to maintaining our commitment to fast nationwide shipping, the boutique is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and by appointment.

We hope to have a new, larger, and more spectacular koi pond and greenhouse installed by spring 2025 for our Grand Opening!

We now offer outdoor Amish Made Furniture and custom Heirloom Furniture at value pricing.

Finally, having moved recently, we will have a Yard Sale (selling used household items indoors in our pole barn) this Friday, October 18th, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 19th, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

At the same time will be offering a 20% on in stock pond products (excludes winter preparation items - pond netting, deicers, cold-weather food, and aeration) and a 15% discount off all Amish furniture orders initiated during this two day event.

To our loyal Practical Garden Ponds clients,

I am excited to share that Practical Garden Ponds has “spun off” the contracting business to former team member Brandon Stone!

PGP will continue offering thousands of pond and water feature products for shipment to your door or local pickup with a 10% discount at 107 Garris Rd in Downingtown, PA. (For clients who are not local please make a VIP account on the top right-hand side of our website or contact Nate about our Contractor accounts.) We also offer Amish-made furniture and yard art. However, we will no longer be involved in pond service and maintenance; we are involved only in product sales. Nate and Dana will be happy to help you with new purchases, records of past purchases, or product recommendations!

We happily recommend Brandon’s new company, Stone Ponds Solutions, for pond or water feature service in and around Downingtown PA. Brandon will continue to offer premium services like pond cleanings, openings and closings, repairs, construction, and maintenance services you can rely on. Brandon is renting office space at 108 Garris Rd and has convenient access to most of our product line if you wish to have him deliver while servicing your pond.

Between these two companies, all the services you are familiar with are still available. We both look forward to serving you!
