It's so important that the next generation knows our history. Consider sharing this wonderful history lesson with your children and grandchildren! It's really wonder-full!

As a sneak peek, it begins like this:

1938 - On a near freezing cold day, Dr. George Washington Carver was the guest speaker at the 1st Festival. Dr. Carver introduced peanuts to the Wiregrass and they saved the area after boll weevils destroyed the cotton crops.

The 1st Festival President was Harry P. Hall. The Volunteer of the Year Award is named in his honor and has been awarded every year to a Festival volunteer.

He makes all things new! 🦋

Today begins a new chapter in my life, and God's timing is absolutely perfect!

Today is my last day at my business - for now anyway - and I'm very excited about my future in Christ! I don't know what all God's plans are for me but I am eager to find out!

Jeremiah 28:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

(I'm sitting here - in my now empty building - reminiscing and taking a few minutes to pray, reflect and remember how the Lord, Dennis and I built this business together, and thanking God for the 13 years He gave us to do this together!)

I will surely miss all of you, my customers and friends, but who knows, if the Lord wills Nuts To Go may reopen again later! I will just have to wait and see where He leads me.

Hi friends! After several months of packing, I have now officially closed at my present location.

I have put everything in storage except my product, which I am donating to the Wiregrass United Way Food Bank to be distributed as needed in our community.

Further updates will be posted here as they develop regarding my future plans for Nuts To Go .

It has been a tremendous blessing for my husband and me to serve you all for the last 13 years! As most of you know, my husband passed away a year ago, and I have continued to keep the store open, but the Lord has now led me to come out and take a rest.

I am very excited about this call to rest, but it is also bittersweet because I enjoy my work and seeing and serving my customers and dear friends every day.

You all will be in my thoughts and prayers and I ask that I be in yours, too.
