This is going to be a busy weekend at Everitt's Farm as we prepare for the upcoming hunting season🦌. This weekend we will be focused on the maintenance and cleaning of: trail cameras; stands / blinds; and access points.

Maintenance and cleaning of trail cameras:
👀Inspection and testing of our trail cameras
📷Replacement of broken camera
🧻Cleaning camera lenses
🔋Replacing batteries
💾Checking and clearing memory cards


Cleanup / inspection of stands and blinds:
👀Complete a full inspection of our stands and blinds
❌️Remove unsafe stands / blinds
🔨Replace or fix areas of concern
🌿Cleanup of overgrown vegetation
🧹Cleanup of dirt, dust and debris from ladders, platforms and windows


Clearing of access points:
🚜Mowing of trails
🪓Cutting back overgrown vegetation
🪵Removal of fallen trees/ branches from trails

Additional Sunday hunting opportunities, starting this year, have been approved!

After decades of working toward repealing the ban on Sunday hunting, today, we celebrate.

The board has heard recommendations from agency staff. They’ve heard from passionate sportsmen and women of Pennsylvania and today, they voted ‘yes’ for additional Sunday hunting opportunities starting this year!

Starting this September, hunters will now have Sunday hunting available to them through December 7. These Sundays will fall within the already established hunting seasons, with the lone exception being migratory game bird seasons. [If Sundays were added to migratory game bird seasons for 2025-26, it would result in an overall loss in hunting days.]

Dates included will be September 14, 21, and 28; October 5, 12, 19, and 26; November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30; and December 7.

These are more than just extra days in the field. They are a reflection of the Game Commission’s commitment to remove barriers, make hunting more accessible, and ensure Pennsylvania’s hunting heritage continues to be passed on!
