We are A4L America- Our Sales Associates drive sales by providing a welcoming, supportive customer experience unmatched in our industry. As a Sales Associate, you will support in-store, telephone, and direct marketing sales, assist with merchandising, and process payments.
What You Will Do
The Work
Assist customers on the showroom floor
Accept and process customer payments
Direct customer opportunities to the Sales Manager as it relates to service and sales
Maintain the appearance and organization of the customer transaction counter
Assist in the maintenance of the showroom including but not limited to cleaning, organizing, and organizing merchandise
Maintain regular mailing campaign to drive revenue and partner with sales manager on sales campaigns
Update customer information and account statuses
Answer incoming phone calls and answer the customer's quistions
Discover the new sales oppotunity by Intrernet and phone call
Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales goals
Process order forms and references
File and maintain customer folders and customer files
Any other reasonable duties requested by management
Requirements
At least 18 years old
Ability to work schedule of hours varying from 8 am to 9 pm
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
6 months experience using a handheld device (e.g., mobile phone, bar code scanner) to enter, access, and output information.
Strong organizational and communication, both verbal and interpersonal skills
High energy with the ability to effectively perform all functions of the store and multitasking effectively
General product knowledge preferred
Maintain a professional appearance
Proficient computer skills and telephone etiquette
Strong sales skills in person and via telephone
Protect company assets
High level of energy in the workplace
Hourly Full Time : Generally scheduled up to 40 hours per week, respectively; more hours may be required based on the needs of the store.
Requires morning, afternoon and evening availability any day of the week.
Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
Ability to assist with lifting up to 50 lbs. without help and up to 300 lbs. with the assistance of a dolly
Minimally must be able to use hand truck move major home appliances, Refrigerators, Oven, Stove, Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher etc.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of retail experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits.
1 year of retail experience providing customer service, including identifying and resolving customer issues, assisting customers in locating product, greeting customers, answering phones, building relationships with customers, and thanking customers for their business.
1 year of retail merchandising experience, including performing Zone Recovery, stocking, down stocking, facing/fronting product, pricing, maintaining signage, and housekeeping.
1 year of retail experience in related department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, and lumber/building materials).
1 year of experience in a customer service position at a home improvement or hardware retailer in related department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).
1 year of supervisory experience in any field, including directing, evaluating, and coaching employees.
