Diamond Bar Friends Of The Library The Diamond Bar Friends of the Library was founded in 1977 and helps fund programs, events, workshops, materials, and equipment for the Diamond Bar Library.

The Diamond Bar Friends of the Library helps fund programs, events, workshops, materials, and equipment for the Diamond Bar Library. Revenue comes from our used bookstores, donations, and fundraisers. Our mailing address is:

On Saturday, April 25th, our special Read Together guest author was Naomi Hirahara, who discussed her latest book, “Life After Manzanar.” "Life After Manzanar" illustrates the lives of former Manzanar internees as they rebuilt their lives after WWII. Ms. Hirahara also presented this year’s student essay contest winners, who are: Zhan Gao from Diamond Bar High School, Bethany Yu from Walnut High School, and Charlize Chen from Suzanne Middle School. On Saturday, April 25th three winners from the “How a Book Changed My Life” Student Essay Contest will be presented their $300 awards at our culminating Read Together Diamond Bar event in the Library Windmill Room. The next Four Seasons Book Club meeting will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 11 AM in the Library Reading Garden. The book selection for this meeting is George Takei’s graphic novel, "They Called Us Enemy". This is a memoir and firsthand account of the time George and his family spent in a Japanese-American incarceration camp during World War II.
