Guess what today is?!?

That's right, it's Tom Mix's birthday! Tom Mix was born on January 6, 1880 in Mix Run, Pennsylvania, and in his day, he was the biggest star in Hollywood, filming a couple hundred silent films across his multi-decade career in the industry.

After serving in the military as a young man, Mix found himself in Oklahoma Territory in 1902. He worked as a bartender, a ranch hand, and even an occasional Wild West show performer at the Miller Brothers 101 Ranch and for Zach Mulhall's Wild West show. By 1911, he was regularly working with motion picture companies, which would put him on the path of becoming the highest paid actor in Hollywood in the 1920s, making $17,500 per week!
