Nine years ago, I opened Third Wave Music with a dream, a bunch of instruments, and zero clue how wild and wonderful the ride would be. Since then, weโve weathered floods, break-ins, charges from the city, a pandemic, and somehow kept the beat going thanks to all of YOU.
After a lot of thought, Iโve decided not to reopen Third Wave. Itโs tough, but bittersweet. Iโm so proud of what we built, and it makes me happy thinking of the musical memories we shared. Itโs not an easy business, but your support kept us strong for almost a decade, and I love you for it.
As a thank you for your support, weโll be popping up at Abstract Monday and giving away ๐๐๐๐ Third Wave sweatshirts. Come say hi and grab one while they last! Weโll also have B-stock gear, vinyl and other leftover inventory. Itโs gonna be a great day of music in our great musical city.
As for me, Iโll be teaching piano at the Kawai Music Lessons studio my mom owns in Shelby Twp. (a full-circle moment if youโve been following us since the first video!) and offering private lessons locally. Third Wave may come back in a new form, but we will have to wait and see, Iโll let you know here.
