Nadia Lee Cohen / Martin Parr - Julie Bullard, a work of photographic fiction by Nadia Lee Cohen and Martin Parr.

The book is designed as a late-seventies photo album. It is very closely modelled on an example acquired from eBay, complete with faux leather spongy board covers and a vintage gold metal spiral binding. The photographs are classic Martin Parr – only the subjects have been stylised. Julie Bullard (Nadia Lee Cohen), her sister Jane (played by Scarlett Carlos Clarke) and her mother, Sharon (Frankie Park), all have familial prosthetic noses. The sets are dressed, the characters costumed, the food prepared – it is a full-on fantasy of a very real looking world.

formal exercise in making a book as true to Schoerner’s seminal campaigns as his photographs were to the DNA of the Prada brand. Art directed and designed by Jonny Lu Studio with a unique fold / hole punched format, Angela Lindvall’s face on the cover, the absence of text... form and function become inseparable. It is the book of Norbert Schoerner’s Prada. Its presence explains itself.

Mirage magazine Under The Sun
Vol.1 Porsche. Tan lines and prickly pears. Stones over Beatles. Freckles and Italian icecream. Beach hair, a cool head and an orange bonnet. Tight bends and high speed turns. Open sky, the engine purrs. City lights and desert rain. The Santa Ana winds will blow it all away.

So-Cal Porschephiles have embodied the myth of the outrageously hedonistic Porsche for generations. But Under the Sun is a tribute to more than just cars. It is a road trip away from the paths most traveled, a shift in the gears of life. As the sun sets over the Pacific and the lights of the metropolis twinkle in the rearview mirror. Windows rolled down, all night self-service.

This book is about what it means to choose self determination. Where does this road come from? Who cares. What’s ahead of you is all that matters. Don’t tell me where it ends. There is always a few more laps around the circuit. And the 911 looks good even when it’s unwashed. Worn-out leather, no frills.

Study Magazine vol. 8, On models as Cultural Markers- The Archives of Dominique Vinant. The eighth issue of Study delves into the archives of casting director Dominique Vinant whose career was transformative within the fashion industry. Vinant began working in the late 90s for avant-garde Parisian designers such as Ann Demeulemeester, Martin Margiela, Martine Sitbon or Yohji Yamamoto, playing a pivotal role in redefining traditional beauty standards. Her work celebrated uniqueness, showcasing models with distinct characteristics and personalities that resonated deeply with the visionary aesthetics of the designers she collaborated with. The fashion insert photographed by Bruce Weber and styled by Bryan Molloy revisits the esthetics and casting philosophy of the Parisian runways of the late 90s. .magazine

SOLACE by Wing Shya, Session Press is pleased to present Solace, the first U.S. monograph by acclaimed Hong Kong based photographer and film director, Wing Shya. Early in his career, Shya was invited by Wong Kar-wai to serve as an on-set stills photographer for films including Happy Together and In the Mood for Love. Granted rare access to the renowned director’s inner circle, over the years Shya captured poignant behind-the-scenes portraits of iconic actors such as Tony Leung, Leslie Cheung, Maggie Cheung, and Gong Li in unguarded moments between takes. These intimate images form the heart of Solace, interspersed with the best of Shya’s commercial shoots, as well as private snapshots of nature and cityscapes encountered on his travels. The resulting collection is a true testament to Shya’s ability as an eloquent storyteller and deeply introspective observer. Hong Kong has long captured the West’s imagination as an enigmatic Other with dazzling neon lights and a chaotic electric pulse. However, in Solace, Shya reveals a more personal and meditative Hong Kong. Time slows, inviting the viewer to explore the subtleties of interpersonal chemistries from a distance in ephemeral, quiet moments that showcase Shya’s sensitive and intuitive approach toward his subjects. A nostalgic, dreamlike atmosphere emerges in his expired and exposed film, punctuated by flashes of vibrant color. In the words of William Chang, one of Wong Kar-wai’s most important collaborators, Solace is a “moving achievement that deftly captures ephemeral postures and fleeting snippets in time.” We hope Solace will introduce an international audience to the sublime nuance of Wing Shya’s work, as well as the rich history and culture of Hong Kong as seen through his eyes. Design by Geoff Han, image edit by Geoff Han and Miwa Susuda, conversation with Wing Shya and Karen Smith, translation by Ho King Man, lithography by Sebastiaan Hanekroot, Colour & Books and production by Jos Morree, Fine Books.
