INCLUDE NAME OF BUSINESS, PRODUCTS YOU SELL, PICTURES OF PRODUCTS. THE SALTY MARKET will be open the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, RAIN OR SHINE unless severe inclement weather is predicted. Cancelled days will be post on THE SALTY MARKET fb page by 8am.
2. Set up times are between 6:30a and 8:45a Saturday or if you have your space number, you may set up your tent Friday night between 7pm an
d 10pm--DO NOT LEAVE PRODUCT IN YOUR TENTS. There is 24/7 LIVE video surveillance You must check in at the Wendys Artopia tent Saturday morning
3. Only approved vendors may set up- space is limited and reserved once you email THE SALTY MARKET with the name of your business, pictures of your products. You will be given a space number. Numbers can be located on the space against the fence line. APPROVED VENDOR PRODUCTS:
A. farm or garden grown fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, plants
B. home produced foods, baked goods
C. home made arts and crafts
D. Girl Scouts of America
E.. Boy Scouts of America
F. Animal rescue groups provided they have a 501c non profit tax id
4. Vendors are required to bring a 10x10 tent. No electrical at this time will be provided. PARKING PERSONAL VEHICLE will be off site due to lack of space. (we are still working on that situation, be patient) You will be able to unload at the entrance, bring a wagon or cart/dolly {if you need assistance, please let us know, there are plenty of us to lend a hand to our fellow vendor}
5. All products offered for sale must be of the highest and freshest quality possible.
6. Farmers may not use the word 'organic' UNLESS their farm is certified organic by a USDA accredited third party certifier and the farm has submitted their certification to THE SALTY MARKET upon application.
6. Agricultural vendors must provide the exact address and origin of where their products are grown and raised. This is required and must be submitted to THE SALTY MARKET upon application.
7. Vendors must specify if their products fall under a COTTAGE FOOD PRODUCT or PREPARED FOOD in their application. FLORIDA COTTAGE FOOD ACT: this Act now allows the home preparation and sale of Cottage products. "Cottage food product" means food that is not a potentially hazardous food as defined by Florida's food safety regulations. These vendors no longer must find commercial kitchens to prepare their products. However, cottage food operation's are not exempt from any state or federal tax law, rule, regulation or certificate that applies to all cottage food operations.
8. Prepared Food: Homemade baked goods. honey, jams, jellies, drinks from natural products grown and owned by the sell and highly acidic canned good must all be appropriately labeled with ingredients, name of business, point of contact, date made.
9. Collection and filing of any applicable taxes and payment to the appropriate taxing authority is the sole responsibility of the VENDOR. If you are needing an occupational license for the Okaloosa County Tax Commission, you may apply on their website. The fee is $35 for license. You can apply for an EIN number via the IRS.COM website. Vendor takes sole responsibility for having these documents filed. THE SALTY MARKET will not be asking for copies of these documents however other government agency representatives may come by and check you for your occupational licenses and or food handlers cards.
10. Vendors are required to clean up after themselves. A large dumpster is located in the back of the buildings.

12. THE FEE: the fee will be $25 a slot. You may rent double spots. Upon application you will be sent a PAYPAL link to reserve a lot and given a reserved lot number for your setup . These fees will go to pay for the porta potty, advertising and marketing for THE SALTY MARKET and rent to the owner of the property. Fees are NON REFUNDABLE, if there is inclement weather and event is cancelled, fees will be applied to the next scheduled event as a paid slot.
13. THE SALTY MARKET reserves the right to refuse to offer or renew a space to any vendor or to relocate or revoke any space without cause for Salty Market space previously issued when it is considered to be in the best interests of the market. If there is a vendor conflict with other vendors, THE SALTY MARKET will not be responsible for the physical or legal actions or outcome. Any disputes will be dealt with by the Okaloosa County Sheriffs Dept.
14. THE NO'S FOR VENDORS:
*animals of any type
*paraphernalia
*drug induced or intoxication
*children under the age of 16 running a stand with out an adult present at all times
*representatives of non home/garden produced items (ie. avon, scentsy etc)
15. Vendors and their representatives agree to protect and hold THE SALTY MARKET, their employees. agents and representatives harmless and to protect such entities from any and all claims, demands, suits, actions, judgments and recoveries for or on account of any damage, theft, or injury (including death) to property or person occurring as a result of the use of THE SALTY MARKET space for which vendor has been approved included loss or injury resulting to vendor from any cause whatsoever, including but not limited to electrical or equipment failure. THE SALTY MARKET is NOT responsible for damages to or loss of any personal or other items in any of the assigned spaces. SIDE NOTE: PROPERTY HAS A SIGN/BANNER COMPANY ON SITE IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF SIGNAGE FOR YOUR BUSINESS.
