THIS OR THAT!? 2000s Pop Edition! ✨🥰

Mo has selected The Black Eyed Peas' 4th studio album, "Monkey Business". This album is the definition of striking while the iron is hot, as it was written and recorded while the band was enjoying the massive success of their breakout record "Elephunk". The stand out track here is easily "My Humps" but the entire album is a bop from beginning to end and is essential mid2000s lore. 💥

Tibs has gone to the very edge of the decade with 2010's "LOUD" by Rihanna. This album was far brighter and more optimistic than Rihanna's previously angry or dark releases. It contained fun and easy listens like "Only Girl in the World", "Love the Way You Like", and "Cheers". Featuring a vast lineup of features and collaborations, LOUD has more than earned it's title. 🥹

Some amazing news! Jays CD & Hobby got approved for 2026 Season 2 Store Championships! 😀

Store Championships are Regional Level events where players compete to earn the Prestigious Invite to Championship Finals for the 2026-2027 season! Special Alternative Art cards from the last year are also available as spoils of war! 💥

This Event will be held on Saturday October 10th 2026. Players will apply in the Bandai TCG+ App with applications starting on Saturday August 22nd, Check-Ins for those who are selected as Successful on the Bandai TCG+ App will begin on the day of the event at 10:30AM and will close at 11:45AM.

Please make sure to check in with Iris at the registers at this time. Once Check Ins have ended, any available slots will be filled with Waiting List Participants at FCFS (First Come First Serve) bases. The event will begin at 12PM so make sure to check in with Iris during this time if you are on the Waiting List. Once all Successful and Waiting List Participants have been filled, any other slots can be filled with players who are Unsuccessful in the App.

An entry Fee of $25 USD must be paid in order to participate!
This an exciting event and I expect to see all Tamers with their Digivice's in hand to compete for First Place!! ✨

Participation and Top Placement Prizes:
Invite to Championship Final will be rewarded to 1st Place. An additional Invite is available depending on number for Participants!

Music Mo's Monday pick is the 45th Anniversary Edition of Joan Jett's immortal "Bad Reputation"! ✨🎶🎵🎧

Originally released independently back in May of 1980, this was Joan Jett's first leap into being her own star after her previous band "The Runaways" had dissolved. This gained enough buzz that she soon signed a record deal and the album was re-released in 1981 to massive acclaim. Even for it's time however, New Wave Style Punk Rock was still pretty niche to the mainstream music audience. It only ever peaked in the 51 spot on the Billboards charts. Of course, we recognize it today as an undisputed classic of the genre, and one of the most iconic pieces of woman led punk to ever be released. Have you ever listened to this record? Originally released back in February of 1998, Marvel Vs Capcom immediately became one of the most iconic and beloved fighting games of all time. While it wasn't the first game to combine the heroes of Marvel Comics with characters from Capcom's library, it was the first to take all the limits off on its roster and give us as many fan favorites as they could at the time. 🕹🎮

Even though this game was improved upon in almost every single aspect by its sequel, the original remains an amazing fighting title, and is well worth taking for a spin at least once for a fighting game fan. Who is your MVC team? Let us know in the comments below! 👊💪

Though "Metal Gear Solid" wasn't the first game to feature the character of Solid Snake, it was absolutely a spiritual resurrection for the franchise. Snake and the characters that inhabit this espionage and conspiracy filled sci-fi world, all became instant gaming icons.
