We have a job opening for a clerical position in our business. Many of you have talked to Tina and gotten to know her, unfortunately she suffered a health issue and won't be returning, at least not anytime soon. Our prayers go out to her and her family for a quick and full recovery.

Job Description:
Need detail oriented, quick learner for invoicing, shipping, and processing parts orders, including:

• Take parts orders by phone, fill the orders from stock
• Invoice, pack, and ship the orders
• Receive and stock parts
• Aid in customer service when needed - including sales
• General cleaning of work area and business

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 to 5
Starting right away
Prior computer experience needed, accounting experience helpful - will train on the job and on our software

As I write this it is 13° and our friendly neighborhood weather people are telling us it will be in the 50's maybe even 60's next week. This is bringing a lot of reels in for repair that were put away last fall in less than perfect condition. I'm not complaining, we appreciate people trusting us with their very important equipment. I only mention this to let you know if you have a rod or reel or trolling motor that needs service - now is the time to get it in so it is ready to go for the upcoming season.
We finally have everything put away after moving most of our showroom to the swap meet and back again. We still have a lot of great deals - 20% off our discontinued Fenwick Elite Tech and HMG rods, Shimano Voltaeus Limited Lifetime Warranty rods $35, Ugly Stik rods only $25 and much more.

Getting ready for the swap meet this weekend. We have lots of rods on sale from the $10 rods to the high end Fenwicks. Fenwicks are priced so low they won't allow us to post the prices online.
We will be taking most of our new reels to the show. Lots of really nice used reels are priced to sell as well.
Sale prices started Monday and will continue for a week past the show. Our showroom will be pretty bare Friday as we move it to the show floor and we will be closed on Saturday. So if you get a chance come on by and check us out here or at the show. See you there.

Ice fishing season is in full swing and we still have a good selection of shelters and ice fishing gear available. Most of the new 2015 product has arrived, the new Fenwick Elite Tech bass and walleye rods look really sweet. We are now stocking the Shimano Symetre and Stradic Ci4 spinning reels and have some of last years Shimano reels on mark down/closeout. Lastly we have a huge selection of used reels for sale right now - the cold weather has given us some free time to get them ready for the swap meet next month.

Summers over and things are winding down. We are finally getting caught up on repairs. Heck, ice fishing gear should be arriving any day.
Been reviewing and ordering the new products for 2015 and they should be starting to trickle in.
I do enjoy this time of year, things are slowing down and I can take time to enjoy the brisk mornings and the warm days fall offers us. I hope you all had a great summer and can take advantage of the remarkable fishing fall offers us.

The Fisherman's Swap Meet is over and spring is just around the corner (I hope). The number of reels coming in for repair is growing fast. So, if you have an old favorite that needs repair or just want to get some reels cleaned and ready for the season - now is a good time to get them in.
