I started working on a buffet with a simple cleaning, wipe down and then sanding for the top. Gradually increasing the sandpaper grit will help prevent swirl marks and give you a nice surface to work to out your finish on.

After I patched up the crime scene on the top of these tables, I got to sand, and sand and sand some more! I decided to go back to some basics and just brush the paint on this time. Enjoy!!

There are so many steps before I ever get to painting any piece so enjoy the journey with me!

Step 1: Krud Kutter and cleaning the entire piece (workshop buddy took care of this off camera)

Step 2: Scuff sanding. Then more sanding. Sometimes even more sanding.

Step 3: Wipe down the entire piece. Leftover sanding dust will ruin your day when you start painting!
