Solid kiln dried lime oak down to the classic mid – mod rounded legs. Slathered with wood conditioner, slowly dried, then finished with 7 coats premium pearl and satin clear polyurethane. The drawers glide effortlessly and the handles are rare kidney gold and beautiful.

The matching chair is in perfect condition just reupholstered with double pad, brown suede leather to match the legs.

We bring new life to a pice of furniture with 6-8 layers of paint or stain. Reconditioning takes the process a step further, by deconstructing and then reconstructing the piece entirely, meticulously assessing every k**b, hinge, drawer and screw to ensure the end product of the highest quality. Our restoration process begins with a vision for a completely new pice altogether and ends with an explosion. You'd have to state an exceptional case for keeping it mainstream before we'd veer away from our frame-up dismantle, hardware inspection and replacement with original parts, ending with 8-10 layers of mixed, polished and blended colors. On the other hand, we do market mid century modern furniture. Mid mod is wildly popular at the moment and when we find a 50-60's piece in excellent or better condition, all that's left to do is refinish or just clean it up before selling.

Repurpose chair to checkerboard: Solid oak dining chair transformed into a rustic checkerboard and checkerboard dudes.

Once you get the hang of it, this takes about 90 minutes to make. The checkerboard is a reclaimed seat from a solid oak dining chair. Banged on the sidewalk for distressed finish. Checkerboard pieces are slices of the chair dowels.
