Wild Game Jalapeño Poppers:
- 1 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup lime juice
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 2-4 elk steaks (or any other wild game steaks!)
- 20 fresh jalapeño peppers
- 12oz. herb cream cheese
- 20 strips of bacon, cut in half
- Honey to drizzle at the end (Optional)
1. Thinly slice steaks into bite-sized pieces that are the same length and width as the jalapeños.
2. Mix Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, and soy sauce together to create the marinade.
3. Add sliced steak into the sauce. Cover and let sit for at least 2 hours in the fridge.
4. Preheat oven or grill to 350 degrees.
5. Halve jalapeños lengthwise. Remove seeds and center membrane. Place cut-side facing up on a plate or tray.
6. Spoon cream cheese into the halved jalapeños.
7. Place one strip of marinated elk steak on top of each jalapeño.
8. Wrap each jalapeño in a piece of bacon.
9. Place on grill, cut side up, for 10-15 minutes. The poppers are ready when the meat is cooked and the jalapeños are tender and lightly charred.
10. Remove from grill, drizzle with honey, and serve.
