…having some technical difficulties that I think I can fix tomorrow by reposting on Fb and over IG instead of IG to Fb so the full videos get posted instead of 1:00 Reel clips. Meta makes things way more complicated than they need to be so who knows, but I’ll try again and we’ll see how it goes! Apologies about that. Does anyone save their mailers? I’m looking for your Whiplash mailers, specifically.

I am going to run a little Mailer Recycling Exchange program while I’m making a gazillion trips to the post office lately…

I need to emphasize & I’m really trying to make myself crystal clear here with this:

I do not want your cardboard trash 😉

I’d take some Mighty Mailers - in good condition; but the rip off strip has to still be intact. No cheap cardboard, nothing which has taken damage already or looks like it’s been reused 2-3x already. No mailers with excessive tape.

Please remove the labels with personal information! I do not want anything with addresses written onto it directly, unless the writing doesn’t take up much space and can be covered. X it out with a Sharpie.

I’ll straight up trade you an album if you have a bunch. I’ll credit/discount towards a purchase if you have your sights set on something. I already took care of someone I found in another group but unfortunately I’m only able to use about 10 of like…50 mailers I traded them an album for haha

Friends of mine who were in touring bands have benefitted from this program while out on tour.. sheesh, must’ve been 2010?? FeedTheBeat was literally a life saver.. perdiem’s were $5 a day. Taco Bell had veggie options and were open late. It was always Taco Bell, maybe Chipotle if we were lucky or feelin like we had some money, but mainly Ron’s House.. just due to availability, as Subway creeped across the country & took over the US. I once ate at McDonalds 14x in a 16 day stint on a tour. My body hasn’t been the same since. Touring musicians have it rough.

Since 2006, Taco Bell has been giving bands $500 worth of gift cards in $10 or $5 increments that work at any of their franchises.

Less a traditional sponsorship than a no-strings-attached corporate subsidy, the program has become a secret weapon for any act that applies and hopes to turn a small profit from the razor-thin margins inherent to touring small venues and the occasional festival side-stage.
